Klaas Rommelaere
In this new body of work Klaas Rommelaere presents a series of intricate textile works that translate images, memories, and fragments of popular culture into stitched narratives. Working with embroidery, crochet, and collaborative production, he builds layered compositions where personal experience merges with collective storytelling.
Drawing on film, everyday life, and autobiographical references, Rommelaere’s works form densely woven scenes that oscillate between intimacy and fiction. Through time-intensive making and shared labour, the exhibition reflects on how stories are constructed, preserved, and passed on.
