Amber Andrews b. 1994
° Antwerp, BE
Lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium.
Graduated with a Master's Degree in Fine Arts Painting from the Royal Academy Of Fine Arts Antwerp in 2016.
The way Amber Andrews relates to art history may form the ground for the series’ theme, but the subjects she depicts are the result of focused research. History consists of enigmas, mysteries, and secrets. Painting may be fiction, but its history is real. It is a tense field that she is drawn to explore, it is registration and perception combined.
Amber Andrews is represented by Gallery Sofie Van de Velde and Ciaccia Levi (Paris).
